Braintree Shotokan Karate Club teaches all aspects of karate, kata, self defence, fitness and competition karate. The club has helped many children with confidence through disciplined training sessions.

History

Braintree Shotokan Karate Club has been running for 20 years and was started by Sensei Lac Lawrence 4 th dan, who ran the club for 12 successful years. After retiring from the sport, Lac passed it down to his step son Sensei Dean Simpson 3 rd dan who has been running the club ever since.

Over the years the club has been very successful producing some of the best fighters on the competition circuit. Many students have been selected to fight on the England team, and have won British, English, European and World titles.
