Golds All Round

On September 25th Braintree Shotokan Karate Club attended the Essex Open Karate Championship in Clacton and came away with a hoard of trophies for their efforts. Antonia and Hannah Constantinou won 2 golds, 4 silver and 1 bronze between them, James Perkins won 2 silvers and Maddie Warwick won a gold, silver and bronze for her efforts. Kaleb Goodes won a silver in his group and a silver in the black belt group while Brandon Dure managed 2 silvers and a bronze. Jessica King fought well in her first competition and should be very proud of herself. Sam Raper won 2 golds in only his second competition and also fought superbly well. Sam Ismay secured a bronze while Drew McConville took 2 golds for his efforts. Finally Aaron Jones our oldest fighter in the event fought a courageous competition but lost out to a bronze by a very worthy opponent.
